To paraphrase Didion, I take photographs to find out what I’m thinking, what I’m looking at, what I see, and what it means. Sometimes I make it about what I want to see.
In the most personal manner possible. To that end, this is also a very personal record of my practice.
Photography came late to me. But when it did in my 40s, I began by learning it in analog with the International Class at the Neue Schule fur Fotografie in Berlin. Quite a few of the stories featured here come from my assignments at school.
And most from my travels around the country.
